Candidate's Comments:
Our republic was founded on the basis of transparency and open communication between government entities, private organizations, and the public. To put mechanisms in place to allow individuals, private corporations, or government to operate in the shadows and on the fringes of our laws and regulations, fundamentally goes against the principles of our democracy. Confidential donations to public charities can be made privately. However, donations made to political PACs and other organizations with the ability to influence policy and legislatures should be public information. Transparency is not the death of democracy, but its saving grace.

Candidate's Comments:
I believe our society has strayed too far away from allowing parents to raise their children with the autonomy that was given to previous generations. I believe parents have the inherent right to raise their children without the worry or fear of interference from outside agitators. Parents should have access, control, and say so over minor children until the child raises the age of majority, as long as the child is free from abuse, negligent, and emotional harm.

Candidate's Comments:
We are a democracy, which has a rich and diverse culture. Unfortunately, our country has some ugly moments in our history, do we not teach those moments because it is ugly? Do we whitewash history because it is uncomfortable and makes some parents fill uncomfortable? I believe teachers should have the autonomy to each an accurate portrayal of history free from the interference of parents and agitators.

Candidate's Comments:
I believe abortion is healthcare! I also believe in a woman's right to choose what is best for her body. Legislators do not have any business in the examination room with patients and medical practitioners. Again, I believe that abortion is healthcare and should be covered by tax payer's dollars, similar to any other medical procedures. It is important for patients with the help and instruction from medical practitioners To decide what medical procedures are vital and necessary for their treatment. Finally, I believe end of life care is a vitally important aspect of healthcare and individual care. These discussions are deeply private and intimate between the patient, family, and medical practitioners, not legislators. I support voluntary physician assisted medical discussions and treatment for terminally ill patients. I have confidence in the medical practitioners and patients to decide what is best for the individual, given the nature of the circumstances.
