4. The Colorado baker in the "Masterpiece" decision who opposes same-sex marriage should not be forced to engage in compelled speech that celebrates it; it is a violation of the First Amendment. I regret that the Supreme Court dodged the issue. It's going to have to revisit it.

I am unsure with regard to question 10(b). There are so many unsettled issues, like biological males competing against girls and women in sports, which I think is unfair to biological females. Any answer I could give would be premature.

Candidate's Comments:
1. Prohibition didn't work with alcohol and it won't with abortion either. One won't be "prohibiting abortion"; one will only be prohibiting legal abortion. Abortions will continue, sometimes endangering the pregnant woman and sometimes performed by unscrupulous and unqualified people. I think the trimester-based regulatory framework set out in Roe is a good policy, even though the decision wasn't well reasoned. 2. I could see restrictions on funding abortions that occur simply because the woman feels that it's inconvenient to give birth to a child. But many abortions are medically necessary and I see no reason to treat them differently from any other government-funded medical procedure. 3. People who suffer from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and similar horrors should have the legal right to end their lives.
