Candidate's Comments:
At the heart of libertarian philosophy is the protection of individual rights and the prevention of government overreach. I fully support prohibiting the government from denying licenses based on religious or political beliefs, as personal convictions should not be used to limit one’s access to the marketplace. Faith-based organizations must be allowed to operate in accordance with their values, free from government coercion that forces them to compromise their beliefs. Transparency and accountability are key to ensuring that financial institutions do not engage in ideologically driven discrimination, and consumers should be entitled to clear explanations when accounts are shut down. Finally, safeguarding donor privacy is essential to protecting the freedom of association and ensuring that individuals can support causes without fear of exposure or retaliation. In all cases, the state’s role is to protect individual freedoms, not impose or manipulate outcomes based on ideology.

Candidate's Comments:
Libertarian philosophy is grounded in the principle of voluntary association and minimal government interference in personal decisions. Parents should have the freedom to seek counseling for their children that aligns with their beliefs, free from government intrusion. However, expanding the state’s role in defining and regulating protected classes—whether through sexual orientation or gender identity—inevitably leads to government overreach, infringing on the rights of individuals and businesses to make their own choices about association and interaction. Private solutions, personal responsibility, and voluntary relationships are the best paths to resolving social issues, not government mandates that restrict freedom.

Candidate's Comments:
At the heart of libertarian philosophy is the belief that parents, not the government, should have the primary authority over their children’s education and upbringing. I fully support policies that give parents the ability to choose the best educational option for their children through tax credits and vouchers, while also protecting the right of parents to know about any treatment their child is receiving in school. Parents should have full transparency over the curriculum and the ability to opt out of lessons or activities that conflict with their values. Moreover, protecting freedom of speech means teachers and students should not be forced to use language or pronouns that violate their conscience. True liberty respects individual rights, parental authority, and freedom from state compulsion in education and personal interactions.

Candidate's Comments:
At the core of libertarian philosophy is the belief that individuals have the right to make decisions about their own lives, free from government interference, while ensuring that personal actions do not infringe upon the rights of others. I support prohibiting abortion once a heartbeat is detected, as liberty begins with protecting innocent life, while recognizing narrow exceptions in extreme cases to respect personal autonomy. I firmly oppose the use of taxpayer dollars to fund abortions, as forcing individuals to subsidize activities that violate their moral beliefs is a gross overreach of government power. On physician-assisted suicide, I believe individuals should have the freedom to make end-of-life decisions without state interference, respecting the principle of personal choice and bodily autonomy. The role of government is to protect life and liberty, not to impose its will on personal, deeply moral decisions.
