Candidate's Comments:
Conservatives claim to love freedom so much, but feel it's necessary to strip away bodily autonomy. If we do not have the right to choose what happens to our own bodies and everything inside of our bodies, then we do not have freedom. The myths that conservatives push surrounding abortion are simply that... Myths. If they really wanted to lower abortion rates, they would advocate for proper sexual education classes and not mythological abstinence propaganda which has been proven ineffective.

Candidate's Comments:
In the privacy of your own homes and churches, you should be allowed to do almost anything you want, as long as it doesn't hurt any other person against their will, and as long as animals get treated humanely. But if you are looking for federal accreditation or dollars, you should be as secular as possible in order to also respect other people's beliefs. It's ok to believe whatever you want. It's not ok to force those beliefs on other people.

Candidate's Comments:
Again this is freedom of one's own body. We see gender fluidity throughout the natural world, it's obvious that humans would also experience that. I support expand mental health access, but it must be about supporting what the individual wants. Not their parents or their preachers. Allowing our fellow humans to fully thrive as who they are without having to fear or advocate for their safety will actually progress humanity, rather than stifle it like the religious leaders did in the dark ages.

X
Candidate's Comments:
School Choice has been an abject failure every time it's been tried. Secular federal dollars can no longer be wasted in private, unregulated schools. Our children need to understand how to work with all children regardless of their beliefs. And while I support number 12, I do so with the caveat that if parental abuse is suspected, I feel like exceptions should be made. And parents already have the option to opt out of any school activities they object to. You have the freedom to raise your own kids how you want to (without abusing them), but you don't have the right to raise other people's children.

Candidate's Comments:
I will always support people's right to choose. As long as a person is not harming another person, they should be allowed to operate however they want. But if you're a "life-affirming" center, then you ought to affirm the whole life. Or change your name to a "birth-affirming" center. There's a common theme running thru these questions. Your freedom to swing your arms stops before they connect to anyone's body. Conservatives reject the idea that you have a right to your own body and that isn't freedom. I listen to my fellow humans, and hear their struggle. I've done my research. Being a progressive Democrat will allow our country to actually progress. The only thing conservatives are conserving, are rich folks pocketbooks at the expense of our planet and everyone in it, and they use issues like these in this survey to do it. That's why there's not a single budget question in this whole survey. When you get down to it, the conservatives in charge would rather you be mad about who's wearing high heels in the shitter, while they contribute to rob you blind. Once people get over their blind rage about their fellow humans that might be a little different than them, they'll realize who's really responsible for the mess we're all in, and that is conservative politicians and they're ultra wealthy donors.
