Taxpayer Funded Abortion: Allowing taxpayer dollars to fund organizations that provide abortion.
X
3.
Physician-Assisted Suicide: Allowing voluntary physician-assisted suicide for terminally ill patients.
X
Candidate's Comments:
Electrical activity (which may be thought to be a "heartbeat") in an embryo can be detected as early as 5 weeks and 1 day; a time when most women do not realize they are pregnant. This is not an appropriate marker to regulate abortion since an embryo is not a "baby." Organizations that help provide reproductive healthcare to women should receive government funding the same as any other organization providing healthcare. I do think that adults who are deemed mentally healthy through psychological examination have a right to terminate their life when their condition is terminal.

7.
Privacy in Financial Giving: Protecting confidential donor information so individuals are able to privately support charities and causes of their choice without fear of being doxed.
X
Candidate's Comments:
The government does not have the right to discriminate against individuals solely on the basis of their religion or political beliefs. Similarly, an institution open to the public or licensed to provide services to the public is not allowed to engage in religious or political discrimination. The public has a right to know who max donors are when considering there own support of a charity or other cause. This supports transparency.

Candidate's Comments:
Sexual orientation and gender identity are the concern of others. These classes need protection due to documented discrination especially in cases of mistaken judgement.

X
13.
Transparency in School Curriculum & Activities: Giving parents access to the curriculum, presentations, and activities that their children are learning in school and allowing them to opt their children out of school extra-curricular activities, presentations, or specific lessons to which the parents object.
X
Candidate's Comments:
Taxpayer money should not be used to support private schools. Parents who opt out of taxpayer-supported public education should pay for that themselves. We should not support rude behavior from teachers and students by allowing name calling in the form of nonpreferred pronouns. This is a form of personal denigration and is unacceptable. There are legitimate cases when the student's right to privacy must prevail, especially when informing parents/guardians would place the child in elevated physical, mental, or emotional danger. Parents already have the right to opt their children out of anything deemed "extracurricular."

Candidate's Comments:
Healthcare workers must be held to a higher standard related to discrimination since they literally may hold life in their hands. Persons in the process of gender reassignment should not be prohibited from engaging in activities that support that transition. This is an expensive process that is not covered by insurance. No one does this on a whim and there are very few of them. If a person is dressing as female and exhibiting signs of female identity, that person should be allowed in a restroom designated for females.
