Candidate's Comments:
The choice of answer to number 8 is difficult due to the abundance of "professional counselors" today who are simply advocates of re-assignment procedures. I believe that parents should have absolute authority in this matter but even so, giving parents the unchallenged authority to make a life-altering decision of a child is often a conundrum because the belief of a decision for what we understand is a logical beneficial situation for a child can be used in the opposite manner.

I believe that the adage that "parents are encouraged to partner with schools in the education of their children" is exactly the opposite of what was originally intended by the development of public schools. Instead, it should be that "schools should be required to partner with parents in the education of their children."
