Candidate's Comments:
I believe in eliminating all of the faith-based organizations tax exempt status if they expect to be exempt from regulations. Faith-based organizations do not have a right to be free from taxes, it is a privilege. That privilege is only extended insomuch that they abide by the laws and regulations of the state and federal government. If you are a faith-based adoption agency, I would never allow you to exclude other races or religions from placement of a child because of your beliefs. You do not get to carve out your own existence and live by separate rules.

Candidate's Comments:
You do not get to create a failing business model where you need the government to subsidize your tuition and then not have any regulations or guidelines. Zero tax money for private schools is my platform. Private schooling is a choice and the financial implications that go with it should be an individuals burden. A lot of you need to grow up and stop trying to keep your children protected from the reality of the world. School projects and lessons that parents object to are going to happen. That is when you do your job as a parent and talk to your child about why it offends you. Then let the child decide the truth of the matter.

Candidate's Comments:
I fully support the right for the individual to choose what is best to do with her body up to the viability of a fetus outside of the womb. Prior to that, it is no one else's business. I trust medical science to determine when that viability is. I do not believe anyone should get to dictate other people having to live by their views on abortion. The ego it takes to do that is insane and should be embarrassing. I will always fight for your right to not get an abortion and I will always fight for someone else's right to having access to abortion. Reproductive freedom is healthcare and should be a right.
