Candidate's Comments:
I support strong protections for freedom of religion, freedom of conscience, and freedom of political expression. Government should not deny professional licenses solely because of a person's lawful religious or political beliefs. Likewise, people should not lose access to essential financial services because of their lawful viewpoints. At the same time, I believe organizations that provide public services or receive public funding should comply with laws that protect people from discrimination. Religious freedom is a fundamental right, but it should not be used to deny others equal treatment under the law.

Candidate's Comments:
I support protecting children online through stronger privacy safeguards, age-appropriate design standards, and increased parental involvement. Regarding gender identity, I support access to evidence-based, ethical mental health care that helps young people explore their feelings without coercion or predetermined outcomes. I oppose practices commonly known as "conversion therapy." I also believe child welfare decisions should be made based on the totality of a child's safety and well-being, rather than creating blanket legal protections or penalties based on any single factor.

I strongly support transparent public education and believe parents should have access to curriculum and instructional materials and should be able to opt their children out of certain non-core activities or lessons where permitted by law. I also support protecting student privacy and ensuring schools follow professional and legal standards when handling sensitive issues involving a student's health or well-being. Public education should be fully funded and strengthened rather than diverting taxpayer dollars to private schools through voucher programs. Finally, I believe schools should foster respectful learning environments that treat all students with dignity and inclusion.

I believe these deeply personal medical decisions should remain between patients, their families, and their healthcare providers rather than being dictated by the government. I support protecting access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare, including abortion services, and believe public healthcare funding should be available without political discrimination. I also support allowing mentally competent, terminally ill adults the option of physician-assisted dying under strict legal safeguards to preserve dignity, autonomy, and informed consent at the end of life.
