Physician-Assisted Suicide: Allowing voluntary physician-assisted suicide for terminally ill patients.
X
Candidate's Comments:
I do not believe government belongs in our doctor's offices. I may personlly disagree with abortion or physician-assisted suicides, but I feel government is the worst entity to decide on these. I'd perfer education and resources for the child or adoption to laws.

Candidate's Comments:
I believe in less government intervention. Individuals should have the right to free speech and practice their religious beliefs. As long as no one is forcing their way of life on each other, each person should be free to excerise that way of life.

Protected Class for Gender Identity: Adding “gender identity” as a protected class alongside race, religion, sex, age, and disability in nondiscrimination law.

Candidate's Comments:
I don't think government needs to regulate how others feel about their identity or orientation. As a trans-person, I understand the internal turmoil of our trans youth. They just want to live their lives and play sports just like every other youth. Some need counselng to help them understand what they are feeling. Protected classes are groups that should be protected from outright discrimination. With that being said, an employer will find any excuse to get rid of someone they don't want around. These laws will help individuals feel better while having little or no effect on businesses.
Education and Public Safety

School Choice: Allowing the use of tax credits, vouchers, and education savings accounts to cover the cost of children attending the school of their parents' choice, including private schools.
X

Parental Rights for Opt-Out: Giving parents the ability to opt their children out of school materials and lessons to which the parents object.
X
13.
Critical Race Theory: Allowing schools to teach children that America's laws, policies, and society perpetuate systemic racism and that people are either oppressors or oppressed, or privileged or marginalized, based on their skin color.
X
14.
Parental Rights for Transparency in Education: Giving parents access to the curriculum and materials their children are learning in school and allowing them to decide whether or not their children should be exposed to certain ideas.
X
Candidate's Comments:
I am all about free choice for parents. Money should follow the students. I do find it acceptable for schools to teach about systemic racism. If parents are upset with what's being taught, however, they have the right to move their child.
Health and Welfare
S O NR
15.
Medical Rights of Conscience: Allowing health care workers and providers the freedom to practice medicine in accordance with their personal beliefs and conscience.
X
16.
Parental Rights for Healthcare Disclosure: Requiring schools to disclose to parents if the school is providing counseling or medical services to a child who desires to undergo “gender transition.”
X
17.
Parental Rights for Mental Health Disclosure: Directing schools to inform parents of any mental, physical, or emotional health information and treatment that a child is receiving at school.
X
Candidate's Comments:
Government has no place in the doctor's office. I think parent's should be informed once treatment has started, but during counseling stage privacy should be protected. A counseling session needs to be a safe place for children to be open, plus it could be dangerous to "out" someone.
