Candidate's Comments:
I strongly opposed abortion when it is for birth control. We have many options for birth control and abortion is not one of them. If a woman is in trouble during her pregnancy, her medical team will help her make a decision. NOT an abortion clinic. At this point, it should be covered by the woman’s insurance. At no time should taxpayers be paying for birth control. Insurance is mandatory and usually covers the options. Taxpayers are not obligated to pay for someone’s poor decisions when they decide a baby is an inconvenience. Having watched several people die a slow painful death through cancer, I am in support of people having physician-assisted suicide. When there is no hope and quality of life is only pain that can not be medicated away, it is the most humane thing we can do. Abortion is not giving another human a chance at life. Physician-assisted suicide is helping a person end a physically painful life by their choice.

Candidate's Comments:
I remember times when I was a child reading signs that said “We have the right to refuse service.” Businesses have a right, in a free country to do business with whom they desire. People who want customized services are free to find businesses that cater to their individual needs. In a free capitalistic society, the government does not have the right to tell you with whom you can or cannot do business. That is big government overreach. Part of our constitution is based on religious freedoms. The government has no right to interfere with religious institutions' beliefs. Freedom of speech is part of our constitutional rights and cannot be infringed upon, even if others disagree with the content. We are too free with people’s private information. More regulations and sanctions for people who give out private information need to be enacted. Many of the uses of sharing or leaking information is unconstitutional. Businesses and governmental agencies and individuals who give out private information should face severe consequences.

Candidate's Comments:
Biological males are not females. It does not matter how they want to mentally view themselves. Biological males that have transitioned are still biologically male in muscle and physical stature. Just because they surgically exchanged their sexual organs does not make one male or female. Gender is an entire system of neural networks, cells, and biological differences. There is no allowing or disallowing parents to seek out the kinds of therapy their children need. Parents can be notified by others in the child’s circle of influence about a potential issue, but it is the parent's decision as to how to handle the matter. No, we should not be adding sexual orientation as a protected class. If we truly believe all people are created equal and that there is equal justice under the law, we should be striving to treat everyone the same. I am not for any of the classes we have currently. I certainly would not support a made-up class as a protected class. No, gender identity is not a protected class. It is of no concern to the world what individuals decide to call themselves. People in the United States are free to do that. Protected classes of people receiving more rights than others are breaking our constitutional freedoms.

Candidate's Comments:
I believe that parents should receive the full amount of money per student set aside by state and federal money to spend on their children’s education. Parents may need different venues for each of their children and they get to decide on the kind of education they receive. Parents and the public have the right to review the curriculum offered at every school. The curriculum should be reviewed by a team of educators, business people, and parents from each grade level before curricula are adopted. Parents have a right to review all supplemental materials the students will be receiving before teaching it. Lesson plans and access to materials should be online for every parent to review before the subject, unit, or lesson is taught. They should be consequences for teachers, schools, districts, and unions that are teaching out of the academic-based education in the public schools. If parents want the CRT, social justice, and WOKE curricula they can teach the specific charter schools that parents opt to have their children attend.

Candidate's Comments:
Schools have no right to counsel students. A school counselor is to help navigate the child’s academic education. If the school notices a child struggling with any mental, emotional, or physical needs, the school counselor shall notify the family and follow up to see that proper services have been provided for the child. The schools should not know anything about a child’s sexual orientation or desire to change. It would not occur to the child unless it was being taught at some level. This is a family matter to be decided outside the school setting.
