Candidate's Comments:
I believe in both individual liberty and equal accountability. Freedom of religion and political expression are fundamental American rights, but those freedoms should not become a blanket exemption from reasonable laws, professional standards, or protections for others. Government should protect people's beliefs while also protecting the public, especially children, families, consumers, and those who depend on licensed professionals and publicly regulated services. My approach is to protect freedom without abandoning fairness, accountability, or equal treatment under the law.

Candidate's Comments:
As a candidate, I believe parents have a fundamental responsibility and right to guide, protect, and advocate for their children. I support protecting children from online exploitation, preserving parental authority, and ensuring families can seek professional support without government interference based solely on a parent's beliefs. At the same time, I believe children deserve to be safe, heard, and protected from genuine abuse or neglect. My approach is simple: protect children, respect parents, and keep government from unnecessarily coming between families.

Candidate's Comments:
I support giving parents meaningful input and control over where and how their children are educated. Families have different educational needs, learning styles, values, and circumstances, and parents should have the freedom to consider the educational option that is best for their child. However, I do not support using public education dollars through tax credits, vouchers, or education savings accounts to fund private or religious schools. I believe taxpayer dollars designated for public education should strengthen and improve the public schools that serve all children in our communities. Rather than diverting limited resources away from public schools, we should invest in our teachers, reduce class sizes, expand career and technical education, strengthen early literacy, and ensure every child has access to a high-quality education. Parents should have educational choices, but those choices should not come at the expense of the public schools that educate the majority of South Carolina's children.

Candidate's Comments:
I believe in human rights, but I also believe human rights require us to recognize both the value of life and the freedom of individuals to make deeply personal decisions. I believe government has a responsibility to protect vulnerable human life, respect individual liberty, prevent coercion, and ensure that people have access to compassionate healthcare. These principles require us to look at each issue carefully rather than treating every question about life, liberty, and healthcare as identical.
