Candidate's Comments:
Freedom of expression and freedom of religion are deeply important and necessary parts of our society. Those freedoms can only be limited if they cause lasting harm to individuals. Education and healthcare are important exceptions to that rule. When one takes on the mantle of healthcare provider, they no longer get to choose whether the service they provide jives with their personal beliefs. Each patient needs specific treatments to become well, and if those expert and proven treatments do not fit with their personal beliefs then they should not be practicing healthcare. Similarly, education requires teachers to arm their students with sufficient knowledge to navigate the complex world that we live in. Those requirements include an unbiased study of history, science, math, arts, and language. If a teacher is unwilling to provide that unbiased education then they should not be teaching.

Candidate's Comments:
The internet should be kept free of obstructions that require identification in order to preserve freedom of speech and the ability to access information. People who feel uncomfortable with their birth sex, and all of the gender conforming pressures that come with it, have existed all throughout history. These people should not be discriminated against. Parents who are unwilling to come to an amicable agreement with their children, who are people and are allowed to make their own decisions, should be pressured to stop harming their children by forcing them to conform.

Candidate's Comments:
9. I oppose private schools and tax credits/vouchers for them on principle. Public education allows all children from all backgrounds to receive sufficient knowledge and resources to succeed in society. Private schools allow people with means to take their children from that equalizing system and put them into a system that may teach things incorrectly. This also takes money from the public school system, weakening its ability to provide adequate education, which then spurs more parents to find private schools. This despicable cycle exacerbates economic disadvantages and further divides our communities into haves and have-nots, most often along ethic or racial lines. 10. Teachers must be unbiased and evenhanded with all of their students. As long as each students personal beliefs are not harming others, then teachers must allow them to continue. Sex change and questions of gender identity are not harming others. 11. Each child is a person. As people they receive rights to have their medical history kept confidential. 12. Parents should be involved in their children schooling and should know what is being taught so that they can support and supplement that education at home. Additionally I believe that they should have the right to determine whether their child attends some activities.

Abortion rights are inextricably tied to women's right to healthcare, to oppose access to abortion is to oppose a woman's capability to receive necessary health services for her survival.
