Candidate's Comments:
Abortion should be treated as the taking of human life. I don't believe in intrusive regulations on doctors and medical treatments in the name of prohibiting abortion. Prohibiting certain drugs that are used for abortions won't work and will only cause unintended effects from an over-reaching government. If someone is accused of abortion/murder, the burden is on the prosecution to prove that the mother's life wasn't being saved and that the mother was acting to intentionally end the child's life.

Candidate's Comments:
I believe that government doesn't have the authority to compel any services and should abolish regulations instead of being judge over what is a "sincerely held religious belief". The government does not have the authority to determine what is an acceptable belief because it is not the mediator between God and man.

10(b).
Protected Class for Gender Identity: Adding “gender identity” as a protected class alongside race, religion, sex, age, and disability in nondiscrimination law.

Candidate's Comments:
Nondiscrimination law is a hazard because it was state action that institutionalized classes and protected bigotry by prohibiting oppressed classes from freely associating for their best interest. I would rather not continue adding classifications of "protected" classes in service of any particular worldview, in favor of eliminating hurdles to free and open competition--which would be the natural remedy to bigotry.

X
14.
Parental Rights for Transparency in Education: Giving parents access to the curriculum and materials their children are learning in school and allowing them to decide whether or not their children should be exposed to certain ideas.
X
Candidate's Comments:
These questions 11-14 are predicated on the broken and failed socialistic education model. It is the parent's duty and privilege to rear their children, including education. So long as the model of taxing everyone to pay for education is accepted, politicians or bureaucrats will always be in charge of what is allowed in education. I believe separating education and the state is a religious freedom issue. As far as 13 goes, in critical race theory, the most important thing is to empower the family, not the state. But in my opinion, children should learn more about the history of the marginalization of blacks in America and the lingering consequences of that history should be honestly inquired after. I do not believe that acknowledging the existence of race-based social impediments or marginalization necessarily requires a Marxist worldview nor entails socialistic remedies. However, to work toward a more just society, from a biblical perspective, we have to be able to recognize that deep-seated prejudices do not disappear in just a couple of generations.
