Candidate's Comments:
Expansion on Question 7: Psychologist have strong supportive evidence of the negative impact of social media on developing brains and that research is creating a global movement towards these restrictions. I agree with this movement and believe our kids need to be protected and guided when it comes to interacting with social media. Expansion on Question 8: Psychologist are beginning to develop strong evidence that gender identity issues have a strong chance of being part of the normal developmental confusion of a child (that they grow out of), and less an indicator of actual Trans identity. For that reason, it is important to rigorously explore a Childs gender identity confusion with a psychologist before making medical adjustments that are permanent. Expansion on Question 9: Psychologists say that a strong parental bond is the most critical factor to a Childs overall success in life. For that reason, every opportunity should be afforded to developing that relationship. A child's identity is largely subjective, due to the immaturity of the brain. A State should not interfere with the parent child relationship based solely on subjectivity. There needs to be an objectively measurable and immediate threat to the child for the state to get involved.

Candidate's Comments:
Question 9: School choice creates competition and rigor among all our education system's entities. Competition between Private, Charter and Public schools are key to improving overall performance in each. Question 10: Children need to learn how to handle multiple perspectives in life. Encountering someone who does not agree with you- and learning how to talk to them- is a key skill set in life. This does not prohibit the gender confused child from using their preferred pronouns, it simply forces them to learn how to deal with this situation in life. If we protect our kids from reality until they face reality, they are going to fail. Let's train them for the real world- where you have to defend yourself and no one is forced to be nice to you.

Candidate's Comments:
Question 5 expansion: Courts and existing legal frameworks already place real limits on religious exemptions, so this right has limited ability to act as a legal loop hole, and therefore is likely to only create positive balancing effects on society.
