Candidate's Comments:
3. Allowing voluntary physician-assisted suicide: There is a difference between personal conviction and public policy. This matter is the individual's; it is between them, God, and their physician. This is not the State's lane and overall, I believe individual rights should have the LEAST amount of government interference. To the people that disagree with this statement: The foundation of every nation throughout the history of time and until the Good Lord returns, is Church and State. Each culture or society has a different flavor of State as well as a different flavor of Church, or religion, but what remains constant is the foundation; and the foundation must not be tampered with; only repaired and maintained. In this instance, as well as many others in the realm of "social hot-buttons," the duty is of the Church, NOT of the State. Church & State have different roles; defined responsibilities that maintain the foundation of the Nation; which governs the society as a whole and ensures balance. If the belief system of the citizen(s) is that physician-assisted suicide is wrong or immoral, then the Church must handle their responsibility and change the belief system of the individual. This is the Church's job, not the State's job.

X
Candidate's Comments:
7. This is a slippery slope and a double-edged sword. We CANNOT start making laws for everything. Protecting donor information will cover or hide [the perceived] "Just and Unjust" under the same blanket. Considering making a law to protect people from being doxed meddles with free speech and accountability. I am confident there is a better way of handling this; let's find that way and keep government out.

8. This is the parents responsibility, not the State. Additionally, it is not the school's responsibility or anyone else. Topics like this are the responsibility of the Parents, the Church, and the Counselor the parents choose to mediate. 9. There is and should be no such thing as a "protected class." We are all equal. Our rights and equality are given to us by our Creator, not the State. The State's responsibility is to maintain the space provided by our Creator to ensure that each of us remain equal and that our God-given rights are maintained.

Candidate's Comments:
13. Education across the board, should be standardized and transparent. Pre-K through 12th grade should have the same requirements, regardless of the school. Private schools, religious schools, and technical/charter schools may have extra requirements, but the core is the same. The core topics in education have not, should not, and will not change - especially at levels below high school. Math didn't change, the core principles of science didn't change, our Constitution didn't change - so why are we reinventing the wheel? When an individual goes to college, it is there they will learn what has been updated in science, how society has advanced, and they will study the subject(s) of their choice and required by their degree program.
