Candidate's Comments:
I believe every American deserves equal treatment under the law regardless of their political or religious beliefs. Government should not deny professional licenses or certifications based solely on an individual's lawful beliefs or viewpoints. I also believe faith-based organizations should be free to operate according to their sincerely held religious convictions while continuing to comply with laws that protect public safety and the rights of others. Likewise, financial institutions should not discriminate against customers based on their lawful political or religious views. My approach is rooted in protecting constitutional freedoms, ensuring equal access, and preventing discrimination while balancing the legitimate interests of public safety and the rule of law.

I believe parents have the primary responsibility and right to raise their children, and government should respect that role except in cases of abuse or neglect. Parents should be free to seek licensed, evidence-based counseling that aligns with their family's values and the child's individual needs. Likewise, parents should not lose custody solely because they raise or treat their child consistent with the child's biological sex. On social media, children deserve stronger protections from addictive platform designs, data collection, and online harms. Parents, not government or technology companies, should have the primary authority over a minor's online access and well-being.

I believe parents are the primary decision-makers in their children's education and well-being. Families should have the freedom to choose the educational environment that best meets their child's needs, whether public, charter, private, or religious. Schools should be transparent with parents about what students are learning and about significant matters affecting a child's health and well-being. I also believe teachers and students should not be compelled by the government to express beliefs or use language that conflicts with their sincerely held convictions. My approach is rooted in protecting parental rights, individual freedoms, transparency, and educational excellence while ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Candidate's Comments:
I believe these issues involve deeply personal and moral questions that reasonable people can disagree on. My approach is guided by respect for both the value of human life and individual liberty. I support protecting unborn life while recognizing that abortion is one of the most difficult issues facing our society. I do not support using taxpayer dollars to fund abortion providers. Regarding physician-assisted suicide, I believe mentally competent, terminally ill adults should have the freedom to make end-of-life decisions under carefully defined legal safeguards that protect against coercion and abuse. As an independent, I will approach every issue by listening to all sides, evaluating the evidence, and supporting policies that respect individual rights while protecting the public interest.
