Candidate's Comments:
9. Colorado spends over $20,000 per student, per year. I believe public schools, private schools and home school parents should compete for those dollars. What a difference we could make if every student had $12,000-$14,000 to apply towards whatever education is best for them (religious/home/vocational/public)! Some funds would be applied towards testing to make sure the student is learning at least at grade level or above. Testing could be done in the way that best fits the student- written or audible. Some funds would be placed in an educational savings account only to be accessed after graduation to be used to go overseas for a service project (this could be a religious mission trip or secular project to help build/repair/train others in another country. This would help teach pride, gratitude and patriotism for their own country). Students would get a max of $15,000 per year, saving the taxpayers $5,000 per student on administrative, union, waste and abuse. Schools would work harder to be the best to attract students and stop the indoctrination that is happening now.

Candidate's Comments:
#7 is complicated. Supervision should be done by the parent. Kids are going to find a way to access these platforms and it should be the parents job to regulate internet use to make sure they know what their kids are doing. That being said, platforms should be held responsible when they design addictive features and not only regulate, but assist law enforcement when children are being exploited or close accounts when they know minors are using the platform in a unhealthy or unsafe manner.
