Candidate's Comments:
Exempting faith-based organizations from regulations that cause them to violate their sincerely held religious beliefs would definitely have to be justified and not based on any sort of bias, prejudice, discrimination, or hate. We have to keep in mind that the United States operates under the policies of the separation of church and state and religious freedom, which includes the right to not exercise a religion. A person's free will to choose must remain intact. The Lord gave humankind free will and human beings should give that to each other as God has.

Candidate's Comments:
Allowing parents to obtain professional counseling for a child struggling with his or her gender identity and expression is what I support. Children do have rights, though limited because they are under 18. This kind of support from parents and guidance must come from a place of love and support, not hate and blatant disrespect for their children's feelings. To say that a child may be confused about his or her gender expression and/or identity is premature.

Candidate's Comments:
Allowing the use of tax credits, vouchers, and/or education savings accounts to cover the cost of children attending the school of their parents’ choice, including private religious schools should definitely be done with consideration of their children's input. For parents to just abitrarily make decisions for their children, to me, lacks love and compassion. The same holds true to teachers and the use of pronouns when addressing students. Though I believe that no teacher should be forced to use certain pronouns that they not deem as appropriate, this should be discussed and done in collaboration between teachers, administrators, and counseling staff. As a teacher, I will protect the confidences of any student when it comes to his or her gender identity and expression, honoring their wishes right down to the letter, especially if those wishes don't cause harm to the student and anyone else involved.

Candidate's Comments:
I believe that the abortion should be legal in the sense that the woman can exercise her reproductive care of her choice. For some women, they may also wish to seek religious guidance and counsel when making certain decisions. Minors must have their parents or guardians involved every step of the way. No abortion at all after 10 to 12 weeks or if the procedure poses a serious health threat to the woman. I am opposed to suicide in all its forms because this practice goes against God's law.
