Candidate's Comments:

I believe strongly in individual liberty and personal responsibility, which means respecting each person’s right to make deeply personal medical decisions about their own body. This includes decisions surrounding abortion and end-of-life care, such as physician-assisted suicide. These are complex, often heartbreaking situations, and they should be made by the individual in consultation with their family and medical professionals—not dictated by the government. At the same time, I do not believe taxpayers should be forced to fund procedures or institutions that they may morally oppose. Government should not compel citizens to financially support abortion services or facilities that provide them. Protecting bodily autonomy also means respecting the rights and beliefs of others by keeping government out of both the decision-making process and the funding of those decisions. In short: keep the government out of personal medical choices and keep taxpayer dollars out of funding them.

Candidate's Comments:

The best way to address all of these concerns is not through more top-down government mandates, but through real school choice that puts parents in control. Every family has different values, beliefs, and expectations for their children’s education—and no one-size-fits-all policy from the government can fairly represent them all. By expanding options like tax credits, vouchers, and education savings accounts, we empower parents to choose schools—public, private, or religious—that align with their values. If a school’s policies on curriculum, pronouns, parental notification, or extracurricular activities don’t match what a family wants, they should have the freedom to choose a different school that does. When parents have true choice, schools must compete to meet their expectations. That creates accountability without heavy-handed government intervention. On the other hand, piling on regulations risks turning private and religious schools into extensions of the state, undermining the very diversity and independence that make school choice valuable. The solution is simple: trust parents, not bureaucrats. Let families choose the education environment that best fits their children, and avoid excessive regulations that lead to government control of all schools.

Candidate's Comments:

I believe in protecting individual liberty and limiting the role of government in personal and professional decisions. Healthcare workers should absolutely have the freedom to decline participation in procedures that violate their conscience. At the same time, continued employment is a matter between the employee and their employer—not the government. The state should not use force against either party. A free market allows healthcare professionals to seek out employers that align with their values, and employers to set expectations for their workforce. When it comes to sex-separated spaces, the government’s role should be limited to areas it directly controls. For example, in prisons, safety must be the top priority, and placing biological males with intact anatomy in female facilities raises serious concerns that the government must address. Outside of government-run institutions, however, private businesses and organizations should be free to set their own policies without government interference. As for pregnancy centers and similar organizations, government should neither target nor penalize them. These groups provide support to women and families, and there is no place for government overreach here. At the same time, they should not be dependent on taxpayer funding. The right approach is simple: no restrictions, no special treatment, and no taxpayer dollars—just the freedom to operate and serve their communities. In all of these cases, the consistent principle is to keep government limited, protect freedom of association, and allow individuals and private organizations to make their own decisions.
