Candidate's Comments:
I do have a big problem with Faith-Based Organizations that have a political undertone in their religious activities particularly with the right-Christian nationalists. The funding FBOs for political goals violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, which prevents the government from establishing a state religion or unduly favoring religious institution.

Candidate's Comments:
As a public school teacher, I cannot allow school vouchers, tax credits, and education savings accounts (ESAs) to be used because these policies divert necessary public funding away from the broader public school system for several reasons. First, diverting tax revenue into private scholarships or tax breaks drains resources from public schools that serve the vast majority of students. Second, private school tuition often exceeds the value of a voucher or tax credit. These programs disproportionately benefit wealthier families who were already paying for private schooling, while low-income families remain unable to cover the remaining tuition gap. Third, funding private religious schools violates the constitutional separation of church and state, forcing taxpayers to subsidize religious doctrines they may not agree with. Lastly, there are several educational studies, including evaluations in states like Indiana and Louisiana, have shown that students utilizing vouchers to attend private schools perform significantly worse in subjects like math and reading compared to their public school peers.
