Candidate's Comments:
I strongly support religious liberty and believe government should not compel people to abandon sincerely held beliefs regarding sexuality, marriage, family life, or matters of conscience. Alaska has a long tradition of respecting both freedom of conscience and individual liberty, and I believe those protections should remain strong. People of faith should be free to live according to their convictions without government coercion.

Candidate's Comments:
Parents have the primary responsibility and authority to raise, guide, and make important decisions for their children. Schools and government agencies should work in partnership with parents, not replace them. I support parental rights, transparency, and informed involvement in a child's education, health, and well-being. I also believe government should not promote or favor non-traditional gender ideologies over longstanding understandings of sex and family. Public policy should respect parents, protect children, and ensure that families, not government, remain the primary influence in a child's life. I was one of the first legislators in the nation to file a bill to protect girls' sports. When the bill failed to pass, I worked with the Alaska Dept of Education to get the policy in regulations.

Candidate's Comments:
I believe parents are the first and most important teachers of their children--and the ones ultimately responsible. Government should respect parental rights and provide transparency, not withhold information from families. The state should not favor non-traditional gender approaches over traditional understandings of sex and family, and parents should have the primary voice in decisions affecting their children. I support school choice and strong parental rights. Parents should be free to choose the best educational setting for their children and should have full transparency regarding curriculum and school activities. Schools should respect parents as the primary decision-makers in their children's lives, especially regarding sensitive topics involving sexuality and gender identity.

Candidate's Comments:
I am pro-life and have consistently supported policies that protect both women and unborn children. As a state senator, I sponsored Senate Joint Resolution 4 (SJR 4), a proposed constitutional amendment clarifying that the Alaska Constitution does not create a right to abortion or require taxpayer funding of abortion. I believe decisions regarding abortion policy should be made by Alaskans and their elected representatives, not imposed by the courts. I support reasonable regulations that protect life, strengthen families, and provide women facing unplanned pregnancies with meaningful alternatives and support services.
